Scaffolding is defined as any temporary elevated platform (supported or suspended) and its supporting structure (including points of anchorage), used for supporting employees or materials or both. Some rescue calls may involve a worker falling to a lower level, collapse of scaffolding structure, electrical contacts, falls on the same level needing extrication for a height, or a patient being hit by falling materials and tools.
